We are delighted to announce we were successfully awarded funding to support our 2024 Summer Circus Camp for kids and our adult Act Creation Course. This week-long course is running during the first week of August and will culminate in a Showcase Performance on the 17th August at Forres Town Hall.
The Circus Camp consists of a week-long opportunity to learn, play, and create. The kids learn circus disciplines on the ground and in the air, and together they create a performance consisting of solos, duos, and an opening group routine. The performance is entirely created by the kids involved and encourages confidence, team-building, leadership, and social skills.
During the evening we run an Act Creation Course for adults of any level who have some aerial experience. In this course adults get a chance to create an aerial routine, some for the very first time.
Thanks to the funding received we have been able to offer huge discounts to children and adults who would normally never be able to afford these courses.
Both kids and adults (and some teachers) will perform at Forres Town Hall on the 17th August at 6pm. This is the first time our student showcase is taking to such a large stage, in celebration of becoming a charity.
